• Milo Ventimiglia's fighter dream:
Milo Ventimiglia's dream of being a fighter pilot was ruined when he discovered flying made him nauseous.
The 'Heroes' star - who plays power-absorbing character Peter Petrelli in the hit US TV show - was desperate to fly the high speed vehicles, but soon found out his weak stomach would prevent him from ever being a pilot.
He said: "I had a couple of options of what to do in my life. One, I wanted to be an actor. Two, I wanted to be a doctor. And third, I wanted to be a fighter pilot.
"During the strike, when Hollywood was shut down, I went up in a fighter plane. And I also spent some time with the Air Force Reserves. It was amazing. It was one of the coolest things I'd ever done.
"But I got sick. It's hard not to. There's actually a photograph of me before I got into the plane - my hair is polished, I'm looking good and I'm standing up tall. And then there's one of me after I finished the flight and I look a little crooked!"
Milo - who is rumoured to be dating his 'Heroes' co-star Hayden Panettiere - also revealed despite the second season of the show being poorly received in the US, he thinks the storyline will get back on track in the third season.
He said: "We're going into filming our third season starting on May 1. And we are back with new episodes in September!"
Milo can next be seen on the big screen in thriller 'Pathology' alongside Alyssa Milano.

• Hayden Panettiere Speaks Out About Milo Ventimiglia Romance:
Hayden Panettiere has spoken out for the first time on her romance with Milo Ventimiglia and their 12 year age difference. The 18-year-old actress says that she and Ventimiglia keep their relationship private as they constantly face negative reactions to their age difference.
“It’s nice to be in the same industry. You often get invited to the same things, which is handy! (But) there is no good thing about being a couple in Hollywood,” Panettiere says. “People make their own opinions about everything, and they like to be very judgmental about things they know nothing about.”
“You just have to hope that if you don’t put it out there too much then they will have less to say about it,” she added.

• Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia dating:
After denying they were in a relationship, Heroes stars Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia are now considered an item.
“Hayden’s mom adores Milo. She thinks he’s so cute,” a family friend told People.com “She tells her friends that he’s her boyfriend. She’s very proud.”
On a trip to NYC, Ventimiglia hung out with the entire Panettiere family. “He’s even met her grandparents. He fits in perfectly with the family. Milo jokes around with her little brother,” says the source. “They’re buddies.”
When the couple are together, “they’re very affectionate and very comfortable around each other. He really takes care of her, even down to the little things like giving her a back massage and going with her to work things.”
A rep for the actress - who plays Claire Bennet in the science fiction serial drama television series, said: “We do not respond to inquiries from the media regarding Ms. Panettiere’s personal life.”
The pair had previously dodged rumors that they were dating – even though they were seen together publicly at various benefits and other events.
When asked shortly before Thanksgiving about the reports of his possible romance with Panettiere - Ventimiglia, 30, said: “She and I are close friends. It’s only natural that people are going to couple us together.”
A friend added: “They’re not afraid to show their affection around her family and their friends.”
Speaking of the generation gap between the couple, Ventimiglia is 12-year-older than 18-year-old Panettiere, the friend added: “At first it doesn’t seem like there’s a big age difference, but then you do see it. … He’s more proper and reserved, and she’s still playful and very girly.”

• urceMilo Ventimiglia Trying to Keep His Fans Happy:
While Heroes was shut out of the Golden Globe nominations last week, Milo Ventimiglia believes the show can shake off its sophomore slump – and he tells fans that in person whenever he can.
"For the most part, people still walk up to you with smiles on their faces saying, 'I love it. I love it. I love it,' " the 30-year-old actor tells Entertainment Weekly. "Occasionally, you get somebody who kinda looks at you and thinks, 'Eh, first season was better, but I still watch you guys. You're doing pretty good.' "
What does he tell those fans? "As a person that's on the show as well as a fan of the show ... I'm hoping we get back to the feeling of the first season," he says.
Other fans recognize Ventimiglia from his earlier roles on Gilmore Girls and American Dreams. In fact, in a new animated video (part of a series Ventimiglia has produced for American Eagle Entertainment), a Claymation version of the actor is seen being hounded by a Gilmore Girls fan on an airplane – a scene apparently snipped from real life.
"I get it all," Ventimiglia tells EW. "When people call me Chris Pierce from American Dreams, it definitely gets a big smile from me."
As for the Golden Globes snub, Ventimiglia says that's just added motivation for the cast.
"I think it's one of those things that's going to make us work harder, make us be a little more focused," he says. "I remember when we didn't win [last year], I turned to the table and raised my glass and said, 'It's a pleasure and a privilege to work with you guys.' We all kind of bonded over that."

• Checking in With Milo Ventimiglia:
What's Milo Ventimiglia doing during the writers' strike? Working, actually. He's promoting AE Winter Tales, the surprisingly clever Claymation web series he and partner Russ Cundiff produced for American Eagle Entertainment. (Ventimiglia, Kristen Bell, Pete Wentz, Lil John, and Friday Night Lights' Adrianne Palicki narrate the five festive shorts on ae.com.) He's also shooting roles in two films, and, yes, thanks to last Thursday's Heroes-less Golden Globe nominations, will be asked by EW.com to address the show's best drama series snub. Happy holidays!
